It stitches so smoothly and is very easy on your hands. I personally am able to stitch 3 times longer when I stitch with silk than I do with any other fiber. Come straight up through the canvas and straight down, being careful not to drag it along on top of the canvas or pull it at an angle (1 strand 13 count)
